About Our Practice

Leané Cilliers obtained her degree from RAU in 1996 and obtained diagnostic privileges in 2008. In 2001, she established Leané Cilliers Optometriste in Jeffreys Bay, embracing the close relationships and experiences found in a small town.
Passionate about clinical optometry, Leané pursued postgraduate studies to enhance her knowledge in various interest fields within optometry to practice the full scope of Optometry.
Behavioural Optometry forms part of Leane's approach to the eye exam and her interests includes:
Paediatric and binocular vision,
Visual therapy,
Specialty contact lenses (scleral contact lenses and orthokeratology),
Myopia control
Neurological Vision dysfunctions.

Our practice use Amblyoplay digital visual therapy programs.

Behavioural Vision Assessment

Eye care is part of a multidisciplinary healthcare approach. The evaluation of vision includes the investigation of functional vision. Looking a bit deeper and thinking from a developmental viewpoint is slightly different from normal routine eye examinations.
